Dexter Morgan: I lived in darkness for a long time
His son, David Zayas Jr., takes the place of his father in some shots, as the two look uncannily similar. Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later in season 2, the scar moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked.

The complex, damaged characters, the twists and turns, and Dexter’s adoptive father nurturing him, training him to be the perfect avenger, are all so intoxicating! Not only is this series well-acted, with every main character holding my full attention, but it’s written with such intensity that I find it absolutely irresistible. I can’t wait to see more about how Dex was traumatized as a child, more about Harry’s lessons, more about his growing relationship with Rita, more about the ice truck killer, more forensics…
