Electrum wallet supports multiple currencies
Although Electrum’s main focus is on supporting Bitcoin transactions, its developers have also released a Litecoin-compatible version of their wallet. This means that users can now use Electrum to manage and store both cryptocurrencies.
In addition to Bitcoin and Litecoin, Electrum has been updated with support for other altcoins, including several other popular cryptocurrencies such as Monero, Zcash, Dash, Dogecoin and many others.
As of my last update in April 2023, Electrum supports the following currencies:
- Bitcoin
- Litecoin
- Monero
- Zcash
- Dash
Remember that support for altcoins may change as new cryptocurrencies appear or old ones become obsolete. It is always useful to check the latest version of Electrum to see what currencies it supports.
For users who want to manage and store several cryptocurrencies, Electrum can be a convenient option. With its robust features and user-friendly interface, it’s no wonder that Electrum has gained popularity among cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
